Subhiksha shares details on how the youth can contribute for a healthier world by associating with Nada India Young India Network (NYIN).
Nada India's Young India Network is a youth-driven network involved in advocacy of health agenda in India with a primary focus on tobacco, drugs and alcohol use.
Mooted by Nada India Foundation, the NYIN is a youth curated network for prevention and control of NCDs and its associated risk factors. The NYIN is a membership based network that strive to foster a healthy community for all by and for the youth. It aims to amplify youth voices on good health issues and take big actions to resolve them.
NYIN creates opportunities to engage young people meaningfully through weekly Youth Forums ,NYIN Meets, Nada Youth Conclave ,Internship programs, study clubs and Good Health Ambassador program.
Self directed activities focus on youth activism on public health issues like tobacco control policy ,alcohol policies and through lifelong cooperative learning, mentorship, evidence based initiatives and projects

National Youth Conclave 2020
Focused on the narrative of addressing meaningful involvement of youth and people living with #NCDs (PLWNCDS) in looking after their well-being. The 3.5 hours event observed some eminent speakers who work in the area of social work and public health. Our Nada Interns also took this opportunity to present their river of life as a peer educator, peer supporter and spoke about their concerns on #tobacco, #alcohol, #junkfood consumption and #physicalinactivity among adolescents in their community.
